What is the difference between Central Cash, On-Campus Dining Dollars and Dining Dollars?

On-Campus Dining Dollars (OnCampus $) are funds that students may use at any on campus location. On-Campus Dining Dollars will roll over from one semester to the next. Using On-Campus Dining Dollars, rather than cash/credit/debit/Central Cash, to pay for food on campus will save you the local 8.35% sales tax. 

Dining Dollars (Dining $) are funds that students may use as they have in the past at both on campus and off campus locations. The off campus restrictions on Dining Dollars are for those who purchased a meal plan with the Dining Dollars and not for those who add on Dining Dollars. Dining Dollars will roll over from one semester to the next. Using Dining Dollars at any dining location on campus, rather than cash/credit/debit/Central Cash, to pay for food on campus will save you the local 8.35% sales tax. 

  • On campus locations include: Ellis Dining Center, Westside Market in Todd Hall, Fitzgerald Dining Center, Central Courte, Jazzman’s Cafe, Taco Bell, Chick-fil-A, Einstein Bros Bagels at SRWC or JCKL, Traditions, Fitz Diner, Spin Pizza, Starbucks and most UCM Concession Stands. 
  • Dining Dollars Off-Campus locations include: Brown's BBQ, Cancun Mexican Restaurant, Country Kitchen, Cross-Eyed Cricket, Dairy Queen, Domino's, King's Chef, Little Caesars, Mazzio's, Papa John's Pizza, Pizza Hut, Planet Sub, Rib Crib, The District and Woods Deli.  

Central Cash (CentralCAS) can be used at all campus dining locations, the University Store, laundry machines, and the library copy machines. Central Cash purchases are subject to tax. Central Cash will roll over from one semester to the next.

What happens to my Dining Dollars and Central Cash from last semester?

Remaining Dining Dollars and Central Cash balances will roll over from semester to semester. 

What if I want to add more Dining Dollars to my meal plan?

You can add money to your Dining Dollars account by visiting the Housing Office in Ellis L23 or on your MyCentral account. Payments made via MyCentral must be paid by web check or credit card. Dining Dollars that are added can be used on campus only.

What if I want to add money to my Central Cash account?

You can add money to your Central Cash account using cash, check, debit or credit card at Student Financial Services in Ward Edwards 1100, the Value Transfer System machines located by the Pack and Ship office in the Elliott Student Union, Ellis residence hall and outside of Westside Market in Todd Hall, Fitzgerald Hall, JCKL or by visiting ucmo.edu/id.

Where can I check my balance or find out if I have any Dining Dollars or On-Campus Dining Dollars?

You may check your balances to see if you have Dining Dollars or On-Campus Dining Dollars at the Value Transfer System machines, any cash register on campus after you have completed a purchase, or on any Dining Dollars or On-Campus Dining Dollars purchase receipt.
